About the Opportunity
Tomahawk Industries Ltd. is currently seeking an HVAC Fire Suppression Technician based in Edson/Hinton, Alberta.
This role is perfectly suited to a hard-working mechanic or technician who is looking for the autonomy and freedom to operate a fully-equipped service truck. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out skilled work, including:
- Installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining fire extinguishers both on and off site
- Installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining A/C, fire suppression, and diesel fired engine heaters
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical troubles
- Safety assessments, invoicing & parts management
- Keeping detailed log book for tasks
- Maintaining parts inventory in truck
- Ensuring all safety tickets are up to date
More About You
To qualify, you will have a minimum of one year field experience in a similar role and a strong general knowledge of practical A/C experience.
Candidates possessing an auto mechanic, HVAC and/or A/C and fire suppression journeyman tickets are preferred, but not required. Apprentices and HVAC technicians are also encouraged to apply.
Successful candidates should possess a strong desire for knowledge in A/C and fire suppression. Whether you're an Automotive/Heavy Duty Mechanic or HVAC Technician, we will provide all relevant training needed to see you succeed in this role - three months on the job training based in Edmonton.
After all the relevant training, successful candidates must also have excellent mechanical knowledge and the ability to complete all aspects of repair. Initiative and diligence will serve you well in this role, as well as well-spoken communication style and superior customer service skills. Self-motivation and self-discipline are both essential due to the autonomous nature of this role.
